got to sleep in this morning--what luxury! and we had a delightful Christmas eve and day. as i anticipated, the Christmas eve service was worshipful. i was able to sit and think, worship and pray. i was able to reflect. it was a good thing.
we came home and had a nice dinner of cornish game hens, rice, beans, and crescent rolls. then hubby suggested we drive around to see the lights on the homes. it was snowing quite heavily when we headed out so we didn't go far, but there were beautiful lights to see.
pumpkin pie and Christmas shows were on the agenda when we returned.
Christmas day we headed over to my brother's home. my sis in law made a scruptious prime rib dinner with horseradish and au jus--mmmm! she is my new bff! my fav dinner in the world. there was also green bean casserole, baked potatoes, "olive garden" type salad, rolls, and stuffed pears with cranberries, pecans and bleu cheese. mmm! delicious.
we finished off the day with going to see bedtime stories. cute, cute movie. LOL funny. great cast, great story. we all enjoyed it.
good times with family, good food, and esp good reflection with the Lord.
how bout you? what was your Christmas like?
